Finally.....

I am taking some time out this afternoon to blog for a sec. However, it will be short & sweet due to my take-home exam I should be completing right now. Ok, who remembers my post about re-creating an outfit I found on Pinterest? I wrote it ages ago; and honestly, I kinda forgot about it until 2 weeks ago. Mikey & I were getting ready for Wednesday night church & I was trying to figure out an outfit. I remembered my challenge and sorta threw this outfit together...and I loved it!

Here is the inspiration pic:

Here is the re-creation:
:) ...by the way, totally didn't realize we used the same backdrop until now!

Shirt: TJ Maxx
Pants: Target
Boots: urbanog.com
Scarf: Wal-Mart
Belt: off dress from urbanog.com

...this was fun & definitely something I wanna do again!

Ok, on a completely different note, I want to introduce an organization to you guys!

 It's called More Love Letters.
You can check them out on their website here!
It's an incredible movement that they are starting that consists of writing letters of love to those who need encouragement in their darkest days. I am writing 3 letters tonight to October's 3 recipients. The website goes more in depth & you can sign-up for emails to keep you updated and get you started!
If you have any questions, just leave a message for me down below :)

Thanks & enjoy the rest of your weekend<3

Just What I Needed

Yesterday was exactly what I needed. Michael & I went to visit Mike's brother & his wife and spend the day with them. We left early yesterday morning to make it down for their church service. We were able to worship with them and their church family and meet some great people! Their church had a fall hayride/picnic event going on in the afternoon at one of the church member's homes. Let me tell you...I am not one that prefers the "country life" but what I experienced yesterday was absolutely beautiful. When we left, I felt rejuvenated and fresh. The host & hostess' home is out in the middle of nowhere. Their house sits on 300 acres, has 3 ponds, and multiple barns with animals from goats to peacocks!
It was a great time had by all. I personally loved just getting away from textbooks, house duties, and the mundane things of life.

Seasons of Life

Hillsong
"Desert Song"

This is my prayer in the desert
When all that's within me feels dry
This is my prayer in my hunger and need
My God is the God who provides

And this is my prayer in the fire

In weakness or trial or pain
There is a faith proved
Of more worth than gold
So refine me Lord through the flames

 And I will bring praise
I will bring praise
No weapon formed against me shall remain
I will rejoice
I will declare
God is my victory and He is here

And this is my prayer in the battle
When triumph is still on it's way
I am a conqueror and co-heir with Christ
So firm on His promise I'll stand

All of my life

In every season
You are still God
I have a reason to sing
I have a reason to worship

This is my prayer in the harvest

When favor and providence flow
I know I'm filled to be emptied again
The seed I've received I will sow

This song is so fitting in almost every season of my life. I suggest you listen to it on YouTube or something. It just resonates through my soul whenever I am having one of those "freak-out" moments.
...Which is now. I'm sure you all have been there before. It seems like everything is kind of out-of-whack. I am extremely blessed...especially right now. I was offered a new job last week and accepted it. The new job is actually full-time with benefits & everything! My first "big girl" job :) Last week I also started my clinical counseling classes for my master's degree. Whew! This is just a step to get to my DREAM JOB! Its very surreal and a very big time commitment. I just committed "social suicide" (in the great words of Damien from Mean Girls), but it will all be worth it in the end!
My hubby's job is kinda throwing us for a loop right now just because we don't know what will happen in a couple months, but we HAVE to know that God is faithful and WILL see us through!
Honestly, all these changes are physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually exhausting. Yet I have to know that God is able. He is able to get me through work and school. He is able to see us through Mike's job situation. He is able to get us through this house renovation. He is able to provide for us in every way imaginable.

Thanks for listening to my thoughts right now and every time I blog! I will definitely be getting back into my blog again because it helps me escape and get creative :)

have a beautiful weekend<3
